BOONE COUNTY FIRE CHIEF'S ASSOCIATION SCBA CONFIDENCE TRAINER

The Boone County Fire Chief's Association submitted and received a 2009 Regional Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) for the purchase of a regional training prop to teach firefighters confidence in utilizing their personal protective equipment and safety when operating in limited or zero visibility areas with confined and entangelement prone environments.

The Association was able to purchase a FireBlast 451, Inc. SCBA confidence trainer to accomplish this task. The Point Pleasant Fire Protection District coordinates the use of this unit amongst the Boone County Fire Chief's Association and is also available to surrounding area departments.
